Newsletter Taranaki

As any farmer knows, calving season is one of the busiest times of year, so the last thing East Taranaki farmers Janelle and Lance Downs needed was an accident. But that’s exactly what happened. Not once, but twice!

Last year, we were called out to the young family’s rural property after Janelle had been knocked unconscious when helping a cow to calve. Eight weeks later we were called to rescue Lance when he amputated his thumb in a freak accident.

Thankfully Janelle and Lance are both ok and they’re now generously auctioning off a bull to raise funds for our helicopter in September.
