THE INCOMING CHAIRMAN OF THE TARANAKI RESCUE HELICOPTER TRUST KNOWS THERE ARE CHALLENGES AHEAD OF THEM, BUT WITH YOUR SUPPORT, BELIEVES THEY CAN BE ACHIEVED.
Evan Cottam is no stranger to the Taranaki community. He is chair of the annual Naki Run Amuck, a highlight of the Urenui Beach calendar. He has helped raise thousands of dollars for the Taranaki Coastguard, Taranaki Surf Lifesaving and Taranaki Land SAR and, in January 2020, will take the helm as Chairman of the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust, an organisation he has been a Trustee of since 2011.
“Sitting on this Trust is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have, so it is with pleasure that I take up the role of Chairman,” says Evan, a chartered accountant and financial investment adviser. “There are still a few challenges to be met, but with our Trustees, flight crew and the support of our Taranaki community, I know we can meet these and continue to provide a top-class rescue helicopter service here in the region.”.
